Al Sulaiti wins Race 1 in QSTK Round 3
Qatari rider Saeed Al Sulaiti won the first race of the third round of Qatar Superstock600 that took place at Lusail International Circuit during the Grand Prix of Qatar presented in association with the Qatar Tourism Authority.Saeed has a really busy weekend as he is also taking place as a wild card rider in the Moto2 Championship together with Nasser Al Malki also wild card in Moto2.rnAl Sulaiti who took the Superpole didn’t had a good start but he managed to lead the race from the second lap ‘I am very happy about the race, actually really happy with the whole weekend with Superstock and my rhythm was really good. I was a bit scared because I was jumping from Moto2 to Supertock and it is a totally different position and style but I happy to adapt it in very short time’ Al Sulaiti said.rn‘The start of the race was not really good, Mashel was in front of me for the first lap and I studied him where he was weak in some points , so I decided in second lap to overtake him take as much gap as I can and win the race. The race was reduced to 9 laps so I knew it was a sprint race’ he added. ‘ Many thanks to everyone that stands next to me and to QMMF and Lusail Circuit Sports Club for their continuous support’rnMashel Al Naimi finished in second place and had some problems with his bike ‘My bike was very difficult today, I tried to make my lap time but I was very slow in the rhythm and in the lap time. I tried to push hard behind Saeed but he was faster and make his normal rhythm. We’ll see in the second race if I can be faster’ said Al Naimi.rnThe third place was for Nasser Al Malki ‘I am not very happy today , I feel sick these days but I am trying to push as much as I can but I feel very bad.
