Getting to the Lusail International Circuit

We are excited to introduce our Digital Map, your ultimate guide to the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix. This innovative software is designed to enhance your visit, making it easier than ever to engage with the event.

With our Digital Map, arriving to the circuit and exploring the venue is simple!

Digital map is integrated in LIC app, and the link is published on every F1 2024 ticket.

The app also provides details on designated parking areas, and you will receive real-time updates, live event timings, discover the different attractions, find your favourite food and beverage booths, shop your F1 merchandise, see when who is performing on stage, the latest concert timings and artist information.

KEY TIMINGS

Entrance to the circuit is during the following times:

  • Friday           11:00 to 22:00
  • Saturday       13:30 to 23:00
  • Sunday         12:00 to 21:00

METRO

The public transportation system is designed to ensure your get to your destination with ease. 

Metro operational times:

  • Friday from 12:00 to 02:00
  • Saturday from 05:30 to 01:00
  • Sunday from 05:30 to 02:00

 

  • Qatar Rail will issue complimentary 3-day passes to F1 ticket holders, valid for metro and tram. You will need to present your tickets to redeem complimentary 3-day pass.

Redemption Dates: 29-30 Nov, 01 Dec

Location: All metro stations and tram underground stations

Pass Details: 3-day pass is valid for use from the 29th of November until the 1st of December 2024. 

Hours of Operations: 

29th of November, Friday: 12:00nn – 02:00am

30th of November, Saturday: 05:30am – 01:00am

01st of December, Sunday: 05:30am – 02:00am

  •  A free of charge shuttles will be provided from Lusail Metro - QNB Station (red line) to Lusail International Circuit and vice-versa, bus mall is located on the east side of the metro station. 
  •  The shuttles will run starting 30 minutes before the venue gates open, except on Friday, when shuttles will start at 12.00.
  •  The expected travel time in the shuttle is about 20 minutes. 

 

PERSONAL VEHICLE

  • If you are planning to arrive at the circuit with your own vehicle, please be mindful of the following: 
  • Download the LIC app and follow the spectator parking directions.
  • Plan to arrive early as special traffic regime will be in place and congestion is expected on the roads surrounding the circuit and in the parking areas.
  • No access to Lusail Circuit will be allowed from Al Khor Coastal Road after the Wadi Al Wasah junction.
  • Exit 29B of Al Khor Coastal Road and follow Spectators sign to reach the designated parking area.
  • Free parking will be available for a limited number of cars. We encourage ticket holders to make use of public transport and to car-pool as much as possible.

  TAXI and UBER

  •   Karwa taxi and Uber will be available at designated drop off and pick up location.  

SECURITY AND TICKET CHECK

Attendees are required to undergo thorough inspection before entering the circuit. You are requested to comply with the officers as they are responsible for ensuring everyone’s safety and security. 

  • Please refer to the list of Prohibited items before planning your arrival to the circuit to avoid having your items confiscated.
  • Get your tickets ready! If you received a mobile ticket through Lusail Tickets app, make sure your mobile phone is fully charged and your cellular data sufficient as you will need to display your ticket clearly with the QR code at the venue gates.
  • If you received the E-tickets (PDFs), download your E-tickets in your virtual wallet, make sure your mobile is charged, and the brightness is turned up.
  • If you have printed your E-tickets (PDFs), please treat them with great care.  Lost E-tickets (PDFs) cannot be replaced.
  • NO RE-ENTRY will be allowed once you leave the venue security perimeter.
  • Tickets sales will NOT be available at the venue, you must purchase your tickets ahead of the event day on https://tickets.lcsc.qa/content
  • Unlawful resale or duplication of your ticket may prevent your admittance to the event. 
  • Do not purchase tickets from unofficial third parties. 

VENUE INFORMATION   Venue map

The venue gates will open as follows:

  • Friday – 11:00 to 22:00
  • Saturday – 13:30 to 23:00
  • Sunday – 12:00 to 21:00
  • Concert gates open at 21:00 on Friday and at 20:00 on Sunday. 
  • Stage entertainment & DJ, F&B units will be available inside the concert arena. 
  • The concerts start 30 minutes after the end of track activity.

  • Spectator Shuttle Buses will be available inside the venue with stops at the different Fan Zone and Grandstands venue entry point and are accessible friendly. 
  • Wheelchair loan - There will be a limited number of wheelchairs available to loan to spectators who require mobility support during the event. Please be aware that is a wheelchair loan system only, we are currently unable to offer push-service at the circuit.
  • Wheelchairs loans are on a first come first service basis and are loaned from the Spectator Information Points. These must be returned at the end of the day and are loaned out again, on a first come first served basis the next day. 
  • We are also pleased to offer a Sensory Room which will be in the Family Fan Village. The sensory room offers a safe space and environment for individuals who need a moment to manage their emotions or to be able to self-regulate. 
  • The Fan zone will be a blend of F1 experiences, entertainment shows, fun rides, thrilling activations, engaging games, along with a selection of activities for families and children. 
  • Those who wish to stay in the Fan zone area will be able to watch the race live on the large screens located in each zone. 
  • Food and beverage vendors will focus on offering fans a selection of international and local flavours making sure there is something for everyone. 
  • For your added experience and to avoid queuing. Download the Snoonu App
    Through Snoonu you can order online and then simply pick up your order from the outlet when its ready. Easy! 
  • Child Registration - Lost Child Prevention for parents with kids: please register your child at the Spectator Information Point; you will be issued with a bracelet with contact number in case of a lost or missing child search. 
  • Lost & Found - Lost and Found items will be kept at the Spectator Information Point located near the Main Grandstand at Spirals B & C and Entrance F.

    If the items are not claimed by the end of the day, they will be sent to Circuit Security. Spectators can email tickets@lcsc.qa or call customer service +974 4445 9555 to inquire about lost items.

From Wednesday 04/12 onward, LIC customer service will be available during office opening hours: 8:00 – 17:00. 

ADDITIONAL TIPS

  • Wear comfortable shoes as the venue is large and there are lots of activities around the circuit. 
  • Please check the weather and come prepared. There is seating and shading throughout the venue however the daylight hours can still be hot and humid – especially in the Grandstand seating and Lusail Hill Viewing Area. 
  • In the evening the temperature can drop and it can feel chilly. Bring some layers or warm clothing that you are prepared for all weathers.  
  • Remember to stay hydrated as you will be out exploring the fascinating Lusail International Circuit.  
  • No smoking policy - Lighters are among prohibited items and smoking will be allowed only in the designated smoking zones. Lighters are available in the designated smoking areas.
  • Smoking is NOT allowed at the grandstands, food & beverage areas, and certain activation areas.
  • Vapes are permitted in the circuit however vapes with gas cylinder are not permitted. Vaping is strictly limited to the designated smoking areas only.

F1 2024 Event FAQs

WHAT ARE THE VENUE ENTRY PROCEDURES?

You will need to approach the venue entry gate where the airport style security check will take place, and your ticket will be scanned/validated.

At the grandstand’s entry points, your ticket will be checked again and a wristband applied.

 

ARE THERE PRIORITY LINES FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES?

Yes, every spectator entry point has a priority line.

 

IS THERE ACCESSIBLE PARKING AVAILABLE FOR ACCESSIBLE TICKET HOLDERS?

Yes, you must display the Disability Parking Permit to access reserved parking areas which are close to spectator entrances.

 

IS WI-FI AVAILABLE?

Please be aware due to the size of the circuit, public Wi-Fi is not available. We recommend you download the LIC App, prepare your tickets and access a local sim card before arriving on the venue.
You can purchase a local Qatari sim card at the Airport or any local mall. Please make sure you have passport ID to purchase a local sim.

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD TO THE CIRCUIT?

No, you can’t, food and drinks are not allowed, except baby food.

 

DO ALL TICKET CATEGORIES GRANT ACCESS TO THE AFTER-RACE CONCERTS?

Yes, you must have a valid ticket for every specific day which will grant you access to the concert on that day.

Friday ticket will grant you access to the Friday concert and Sunday ticket will grant you access to the Sunday concert. 

There will be no concert on Saturday due to the long competition schedule.

Please note that the venue gates will close at 22:00 on Friday and at 21:00 on Sunday and the concert arena can be reached only if you are already inside the venue.

 

WHERE IS THE AFTER-RACE CONCERTS? 

At the Lusail International Circuit concert arena, just walking distance from the Fan zone. 

 

ARE THERE SMOKING ZONES? IS IT ALLOWED TO SMOKE IN THE GRANDSTAND?

Smoking will be allowed only in the smoking zones. Smoking is NOT allowed at grandstands, Food and Beverage areas, and certain activation areas. Please note that lighters are not allowed inside the venue.

 

ARE THERE TOILETS FOR PERSON WITH DISABILITY AVAILABLE AROUND THE CIRCUIT?

Yes. There will be accessible toilets in the permanent toilets in the Main Grandstand Building and all portable toilets will have an accessible unit.

 

ARE MOBILITY BUGGIES AVAILABLE?

There will be mobility buggies available at “Mobile Services” points at parking areas and bus mall to assist spectators with mobility issues up to the venue entry gates but will not be available inside the venue. 

 

ARE THERE WHEELCHAIRS AVAILABLE AROUND THE CIRCUIT FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY OR MOBILITY ISSUES?

There will be a limited number of wheelchairs available for hire during the event at Spectator Information Points.

 

WILL I BE ABLE TO BUY MERCHANDISE (T-SHIRTS, CAPS ETC.)?

Yes, there will be several merchandise stores in the Fan Zone.

 

ARE THERE RESTAURANTS, PRAYER ROOMS, MERCHANDISE SHOPS AND RESTROOMS? 

There are permanent toilets in the Main Grandstand building and portable toilets in each zone. 

Merchandise shops will be allocated in various locations in the fan zone.

There are 3 prayer rooms is the following locations: Main Grandstand – spiral F, T16 Grandstand and another at Lusail Hill Area.

 

ARE THERE ACTIVITIES AVAILABLE FOR CHILDREN? 

Yes, they will be allocated through the venue with main family fan village activation area next to the North grandstand.

 

IS THERE A SPECIFIC DRESS CODE?

Wear comfortable shoes as the venue is large and please respect the local culture by dressing appropriately.

 

IS THE EVENT AVAILABLE FOR FANS TO WATCH ON BIG SCREENS?

Yes, we will have giant viewing screens placed around the circuit, so you won't miss a moment of the action.

 

IS ALCOHOL AVAILABLE FOR SALE AT THE CIRCUIT?

No, alcohol is available only at Hospitality areas, for more information please click here.

 

ARE THERE FACILITIES SUCH AS LOCKERS AVAILABLE ON SITE?

No, there won't be any lockers available.

 

PROHIBITED ITEMS STORAGE? HOW FAR IS IT FROM THE CAR PARK?

Prohibited items storage tents are located next to the spectator venue entry points.

 

WILL THERE BE SHUTTLES AVAILABLE AROUND THE CIRCUIT TO MOVE FROM PARKING TO THE VENUE AND INSIDE THE PREMISES?

Venue shuttles will be available inside the venue premisses during the venue opening time, but they will stop running at 19:00. 

 

CAN I PARK OVERNIGHT?

No, you can't leave your car parked overnight.

 

IS MEDICAL SUPPORT AND FIRST AID AVAILABLE ON SITE?

First Aid and medical is available at the venue. Medical tents are located at Entrance D near Turn 16 and in the Family Fan Village close to the North Grandstand.

Medics are also roaming the venue and in case spectators require assistance. If you require medical assistance and you cannot see a medic or make it to a medical tent, please approach the nearest steward who can radio for support.

Outside the venue, if you require medical assistance. Please approach the nearest staff to radio for support.
In case of emergency outside the venue, please call 999. The required services will be suitably dispatched by the emergency services team and venue commander.
 

CAN I DEPOSIT PROHIBITED ITEMS AT THE VENUE?

Confiscated items will be disposed of, but you can deposit restricted and prohibited items at the dedicated tent next to the spectator entry point and collect it at your exit.

 

WHERE ARE THE LOST & FOUND ITEMS POINTS? 

Lost and Found items will be kept at the Info Point at the Main venue gate 3 for a day.  If items are not collected, they will be sent to LIC security department.

WILL THERE BE ATMs AROUND THE CIRCUIT? IS CASH ACCEPTED FOR PURCHASES OR ONLY CARD PAYMENT?

Yes, 2 ATMs are located near the Main Grandstand at Spiral D and 1 ATM at at Lusail Hill on the side closest to T2 & 3 and in proximity to the Medical tent. Payments are accepted in cash and via credit/debit cards.

 

ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY

We reserve the right to revoke the tickets of those individuals whose conduct is determined to be inappropriate, including but not limited to any violation of the code of conduct. Please be aware that the ticketholder is accountable for the conduct of his/her guests.

 

RECYCLING / SUSTAINABILITY POLICY

We encourage all guests to reduce, reuse and recycle. The recycling program includes recycling containers in all parking lots, all security checkpoint locations, as well as in all hospitality areas. Please check the signage on the recycling containers to help our guests in recycling the proper items such as plastic, glass and aluminium.

 

IN CASE OF EMERGENCIES (FIRE, ACCIDENTS, ETC.) WHAT ARE THE EVACUATION PROCEDURES?

Spectators are encouraged to report issues and concerns to a nearby event staff member. In the event of a serious emergency, event staff, event security, and police are ready and available to assist guests, including guests with disabilities. 

Emergency number in Qatar is 999.

 

WHEN ATTENDING THE FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX, YOU ARE REQUIRED TO REFRAIN FROM THE FOLLOWING BEHAVIORS: 

  • Intoxication or other signs of alcohol impairment that results in irresponsible behaviour
  • Actions that are harmful to or endanger others 
  • Throwing items of any kind 
  • Using foul or abusive language and/or gestures 
  • Displaying inconsiderate behaviour towards others 
  • Disorderly conduct 
  • Wearing obscene or indecent clothing 
  • Smoking in non-designated areas 
  • Sitting or standing in the aisle ways 
  • Entering or attempting to enter a restricted area or the racetrack
  • Entering the venue with any prohibited items 
  • Harassment of opposing fans


ARE THERE TOURIST ATTRACTIONS NEAR THE CIRCUIT?

Yes, you can visit Lusail Stadium, Lusail Boulevard, The Pearl Island, Katara Cultural Village, Vendome Mall and Al Maha Island.
