August at Lusail International Circuit (LIC) brought together the energy of community karting and fitness activities with major milestones in the countdown to the Formula 1® Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2025, underscoring the venue’s dual role as both a grassroots motorsport hub and a global stage for world-class events.
Public Karting once again proved to be one of the circuit’s most popular offerings, with 18 open evenings held throughout the month. Families, beginners, and regular enthusiasts filled the 900-metre outdoor karting track, enjoying a safe, accessible, and professional environment to test their racing skills. Alongside karting, three Mixed Training Days on August 6, 13, and 20 opened the floodlit 5.38 km Grand Prix track to Qatar’s fitness community, welcoming cyclists and runners of all levels to train on one of the most advanced racing circuits in the world. These initiatives continue to position LIC not only as a motorsport venue but also as a year-round destination for active living and community engagement.
Beyond the track, August carried international significance as LIC unveiled a series of landmark announcements in the build-up to the Qatar Grand Prix in November. Momentum accelerated on August 22, when LIC officially marked 100 days to go until race weekend. The milestone highlighted the extraordinary demand for tickets, with both the Main Grandstand and 3-Day General Admission already sold out months in advance. Availability now centers on some of the circuit’s most exciting vantage points, including the North, Turn 2, Turn 3, and Turn 16 Grandstands, while Lusail Hill offers single-day General Admission access to fans looking for a flexible way to experience the action.
Two days later, on August 24, the circuit revealed that globally acclaimed British artist Seal will headline the Friday night concert on November 28, bringing his soulful voice and chart-topping hits to the stage as part of the circuit’s three-night entertainment program. His performance will set the tone for a weekend where racing and music come together to deliver one of Qatar’s most anticipated spectacles of the year.
On August 27, LIC unveiled the official key visual for the Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2025, bringing to life the campaign platform “Where Hearts Are Racing”. The artwork featured a Formula 1® car in national colors speeding through the circuit’s iconic track, with Saadu-inspired curb designs and the Doha skyline woven into the composition. The visual encapsulated the unique identity of the event, blending tradition with modernity and reflecting the passion that unites fans, drivers, and the nation as the countdown to November continues.
With a strong balance of grassroots karting, community training, and global Formula 1® milestones, August reaffirmed LIC’s dynamic presence in both local and international sport.
